Audi Family Car Keeps Pace with Ferrari?
The Audi RS 6 Avant details have finally been spilled, and it is one hot hatch! Ferrari also has a hatch, the FF family car, and apparently the RS 6 can nearly keep pace with it. The luxury hatch trend is attracting carmakers and buyers alike, and the high-performance add-ons are gaining popularity right along with them.
The Audi RS 6 is powerful, accelerating to 62 miles per hour in just 3.9 seconds. How many luxury cars can achieve that while comfortably seating 5 people and include trunk space? Not many. These cars will be customized like crazy when they roll out.

Some are saying this is the fastest family car. It boasts a 4-liter turbocharged V8 engine with a top speed of 189 miles per hour. Interestingly, the RS 6 features the same engine as the Bentley Continental.
The standard model will be limited to 155 mph. Not to worry, as that cap can be removed to bring it up to 175. Only the top-of-the-line Dynamic Plus model can hit 189.
To compare, the Ferrari FF hatch hits the 60-mile per hour marker in 3.8 seconds with a top speed of 194. Porsche’s 911 GT3 R accomplishes the same in 4 seconds with a top speed of 193 mph. Audi has been extensively testing the hot hatch on the Nurburgring, logging over 5,000 miles so far.
