Meet the 2013 Audi Lineup
The 2013 Audi lineup includes the A4, S4, A5 and S5. While each model certainly communicates that distinctive Audi appearance and appeal–there are minute key distinguishing factors for each model.
The Audi A5 and S5 are both looking magnificent following recent facelifts, and the A4 and S4 sedans have received similar updates and some cool tech additions to sweeten the deal.
The most evident change in the A5 and S5 is the front fascia, which is a bit more like the A6. This helps to transform the typically pill-shaped luxury car into more of a shapely machine. Note the photo comparison below of the 1990s A4 Vs. the 2013 version. The sharper lines and angles act to amp up the exterior curb appeal and provide a more modern approach to the sedan.
The powertrains carry over from previous years. The overall differences for each model are in the aesthetics arena and the implementation of new technology:
Audi A4: A turbocharged 2.0-liter inline 4 with 211 horses or a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 with 330 horses. Starts at $33,395. Wagon and all-road versions will also be offered.
Audi S4: Supercharged 3.0-liter direct-injection V6 with 333 horses. Starts at $48,995.
Audi A5: 2.0-liter turbo/direct-inject 4-cylinder with 211 horses. Starting at $37,995
Audi S5: Supercharged 3.0-liter with 272 horses. Starting around $49,000.
Audi has already incorporated the fantastic MMI infotainment system into the A6, A7 and A8, with much success. The touch-sensitive pad allows drivers to input commands easily by writing with a finger on the pad. No worries, the amazing system can decipher nearly any chicken-scratch or scrawl it is given!
