Time to Say Goodbye to the VW Beetle?
The news is true, the Volkswagen Beetle is on its final journey after 70 years in the United States since its introduction to the market in 1949. But before it says its’ goodbye’s VW is introducing a 2019 Final Edition to celebrate its historic run.
Offered in four trims; S, SE, Final Edition SE and Final Edition SEL the base trim will start at $23,045 for the coupe and $27,295 for the convertible.
Equipped with many features such as blind spot monitoring, rear traffic alert, four airbags, anti-lock brakes, rearview camera and the all new stability and traction control system the Beetle of 2019 is much different from the early Beetle’s years ago.
Top of the line trims will include 18 inch wheels, bi-xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights, leather interior, discover media infotainment equipped with navigation, car-net security and Fender premium audio.
Under the hood of the 2019 Volkswagen Beetle is a turbocharged 2.0L engine which puts out 174 horsepower and 184 lb ft of torque and is paired with a 6 speed automatic transmission. No powerhouse out of the gate but if you are driving a Beetle you knew this from the start. It is not meant to rip down the track but more cruise in comfort and vintage style.
