David’s Bagged MK6 GTI
A little rain never stopped a photoshoot from happening. We were fortunate enough to meet up with David and shoot his beautiful MK6 GTI. David’s VW is laid out with Airlift V2 management and Airlift Slam XL bags and Koni yellow rear struts. It is sitting fender to lip all the way around on BBS Strosek’s. To complement the car, the faces were painted Cloud White, with white and gold BBS center caps and 24 K gold plated OEM BBS bolts. 1.5″ polished lips are in the front and 2.5″ polished lips sitting in the rear. The wheel fitment comes out to be 17×9.5 in the front and 17×10 in the rear, with an et of 38. With a little help of some negative camber in the rears and spacers in the front, the fitment is et perfect in our eyes.
As if the stance of the car wasn’t enough, the exterior has many appearance upgrades as well. David had the rear valance, lower grills painted gloss black. The front bumper has the side markers shaved off to give it the euro front bumper look. An OEM Votex lip was added and color matched, as well as Golf R side skirts and white badges to tie it all together.
David did not stop there, the interior has a custom headrest, golf ball shift knob and a New South performance boost gauge. His MK6 came stock with the famous OEM plaid seats, and the door cards were wrapped in the OEM plaid to match.
Where this car excels in looks, it does not lack in performance, under the hood David equipped his GTI with APR Carbonio intake, Eurojet Turbo Back Exhaust, Forge Twintercooler, Forge catch can, Southbend Stage 2 Endurance Clutch and the APR Stage 2 tune. This Volkswagen is built up in performance just as much as it is in the stance of it. Beautifully built and maintained.
