While that hardly seems like enough space for a supercar like the Audi R8 to stretch its legs, it is indeed enough time to declare victory over a competitor! Even with its all wheel drive advantage in a short race the McLaren MP4-12C manages to pull it towards the end of the 1/8 and being a stock car it tends to support the conclusion the R8 is running fairly low boost with its Heffner setup. Is drag racing as good as it gets? Yes….unless you are custom-building your very own Audi R8 with an unlimited budget. Admit it, you have done so on Audi’s website.
The SL65 AMG Mercedes-Benz gives the R8 a good run. It likely is tuned although no mod list is provided with the videos. The SL65 clearly is on drag radials.
Very good races captured from the R8. This just serves to show what a beast the McLaren is in stock form, as the R8 appears to hit a dead stop…
