Introducing: The 189 MPH 2014 Audi RS7!
The 2014 Audi RS7 is here, and it is fast! This year’s model can catapult up to four passengers up to nearly 200 miles per hour, effortlessly. With this much adrenaline already standard, it will be awesome to see which high-performance tweaks buyers choose for this model.
The all-new and awe-inspiring 2014 Audi RS7 Sportback is here
There has been an onslaught of hot hatches emerging over recent years, each surpassing the next. The RS7 Sportback is no different, dropping its share of jaws at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show recently. This is a daily driver with a serious power surge, an option for commuters thirsty for the Audi R8 but in need or more practicality.
What is lurking under that hot hatch hood:
- The RS7 Sportback packs a specialized 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbocharged engine
- 560 horsepower
- It destroys the 0-60 marker in 3.9 seconds. That is comparable to some of the best supercars available! No one will make fun of this hatch, nor confuse it with a mere station wagon. If they do…head to the nearest track, because stoplights are tacky.
- 533 pound-feet of torque at 1,750 rpm
- 8-speed automatic transmission
- All wheel drive
The design barely reads as a hot hatch, it is decidedly smoother
The base model comes with an electronically limited top speed of 155 miles per hour. Do not panic, buyers can have the governor eliminated by purchasing the dynamic package plus, which takes it up to the glorious 189 MPH marker!
Equally astonishing is the fact that the RS7 is not into chugging gas–it sips just 25 mpgs on the US scale. It features a cylinder-on-demand system that allows the engine to deactivate up to 4 cylinders by closing their valves.
