Brand Spotlight: Corsa Performance
CORSA Performance is already an established name in the automotive industry, being around for more than two decades. Since they entered the market, it 1998, the visionaries at CORSA have made their plan to reshape the exhaust system sector of the industry, using cutting-edge technology to meet the ever-changing demands of their customers.
With the launch of their first exhaust system, featuring their trademarked RSC (Reflective Sound Cancellation) Technology, the team at CORSA revolutionized the industry. Their innovative technology allows them to target and remove the frequencies that cause noise, while keeping the performance intact. The system was first installed on the C5 Corvette, and since then, the company has been doing continuous research to improve their already notorious no-drone technology.
For every automotive enthusiast who is looking to add more power to their car, drone has been quite an issue. To put it simply, drone is a sound, similar to a buzzing, that can be heard from the inside of a car, once it hits 200 RPM. Various exhaust system manufacturers have developed resonators that aim to reduce drone, but CORSA has managed to incorporate those resonators into their product, to simplify the life of their customers and reduce costs. The systems come with 4 sound options: Touring, Sport, Extreme and a default system with only one sound level available.
The Ohio-based company is now producing exhaust systems for a variety of cars and trucks, including Audi, BMW, Pontiac, Nissan, Volkswagen and Chrysler. In 2012, they have expanded to also produce cold air intakes, taking advantage of their knowledge it terms of airflow to develop free-flowing air intakes. Their continuous research had determined them to partner up with Donaldson Filtration Solutions. By using the technology provided by Donaldson, they have managed to outperform traditional cellulose filters and offer solutions that do not require maintenance for up to 150,000 miles.
Their products are made out of 100% stainless steel, which prevents corrosion and prolongs the life of their systems. Equally important as the rest of the system are the exhaust tips, which are actually the ones that people will be seeing as they look at the car. To prevent heat distortion, CORSA delivers dual walled tips, for better performance and more aesthetically-pleasing solutions.
They take pride in the quality of their products, aiming to produce the best exhaust systems on the market. Their professionalism can be seen in all aspects of their business, from development to manufacture and customer service.
In terms of technology, CORSA is proud to announce they have an entire team dedicated constantly improving their development and manufacturing processes. They use the last manufacturing technologies, such as:
- Proprietary acoustic software
- Computer Aided Design
- CNC Tooling
- 6-axis precision laser-cutting
- Hand and robotic welding
- High Definition Laser etching
Online reviews could not be better for the company, especially those coming from Audi and Volkswagen owners, who are not thinking twice before changing their built-in exhaust and air intake systems in favor of those manufactured by CORSA.
