An Audi R8 with Lamborghini Doors

Check out this Audi R8 supercar rocking Lamborghini scissor style doors! Is this awesome or overkill? Opinions will vary on the subject, but it is unarguably interesting to look at! This is an aftermarket job, of course, one that could increase in popularity once the photos spread like wildfire in automotive blogs.

Does the sleek Audi R8 pull off Lamborghini style scissor doors? 

In a way, it just seems natural for such an aerodynamic and powerful breed of hypercar to run with some scissors (we know-we know…mother always said not to do that). Because Audi has actually taken over Lamborghini, the hybrid of sorts does make sense. Certain design and performance aspects are bound to mingle when larger companies blend. It may just appear a bit off to see the R8 with the doors because it is not as dramatically low to the ground like a Lamborghini. One stomp on the accelerator would likely change the minds of the naysayers.

While the R8 is certainly fast enough to pull off some showing off in the aesthetics arena, but some are poking fun at the Lambo doors.

The Audi R8 does boast all of the sporting prowess of the Lamborghini Gallardo, along with many of its guts and components.
