Fault Airbag Modules Recall 30,000 Volkswagens
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has just issued a recall to owners of model years 2015-2016 Volkswagen Tiguans and CC’s for a flawed capacitor in the airbag control module that could cause the airbags to either deactivate or unexpectedly deploy. This actually also effects the seat belt pretensioners. Of course pretty much all the things that matter during a crash.
It is estimated that about 25,239 Tiguans and 2,583 CC’s are effected in this recall.
Drivers are told to keep an eye out for airbag warning lights and if so to immediately get your vehicle in to a dealership for inspection and repair.
